II Channa Vada II


  • 3 cups  Channa Dal (Bengal Gram)
  • 2 medium Onions, finely chopped
  • 3-4 Green chilies, finely chopped
  • Salt to taste
  • Oil to fry
  • Wash and Soak dal in water for about 2 hours.
  • By adding enough water grind Dal to a coarse paste.
  • Add chopped onions and green chilies to the grinded dal.
  • Add salt to the mixture and mix well.
  • Heat the Oil.
  • Divide the mixture into equal portions and shape each into a ball and flatten each ball on your palm.
  • Now deep fry the vadas in the hot oil, till golden brown in color.
  • Remove and drain onto a paper towel and serve hot with green chutney and tomato ketchup.
