II Potato chaat II

 Ingredients: (Serves : 4)

  • 450gms / 1lb Potatoes (boiled, peeled and cubed)
  • 1tsp salt or to taste
  • 1tsp black salt (kala namak)
  • 1tsp red chili powder or to taste
  • 1tsp dry-roasted ground cumin seeds
  • 4tbsp lemon juice
  • Oil to fry


  • Deep-fry the cubed potatoes in oil until crisp and golden brown, over a moderate heat. Remove and drain on a paper towel.
  • Sprinkle a little salt, black salt, chili powder and cumin on each serving and squeeze some lemon juice over the top.
  • Eat with cocktail sticks or toothpick.

Note :

  • Instead of lemon juice, you can use the normal chaat chutneys : Tamarind chutney, Green Chutney and well-beaten curd / yogurt.
  • You can use potatoes without frying also.
