II Murg Malai II


  • 1 Chicken (jointed)
  • 1/2 kg onions (grated)
  • 1/4th cup tomato puree
  • 1/2 cup cream
  • 1tbsp garlic paste
  • 1/2 tsp fenugreek powder
  • 1/2 tsp turmeric 
  • 1tsp garam masala powder
  • 2 black cardamoms (powdered)
  • 1 tbsp onion paste
  • 1/4th cup oil
  • Salt to taste
  • Mint leaves, tomatoes and cashew nuts (for garnishing)

Preperation :

  • Heat the oil, add garlic paste and brown it. Add the onions and brown them too, then add tomato puree.
  • Add all remaining spices, chicken and fry well.
  • Cover the pan and cook until chicken is done.
  • Add a little water if necessary.
  • Add the cream after the chicken is cooked, boil for a minute.
  • Garnish with mint leaves, sliced tomatoes and cashew nuts.
