II Makke-Di-RotiII


  • 1 cup Maize(corn) flour (makke ka atta)
  • 4 tbsp Wheat flour (atta)
  • 3 tbsp chopped fenugreek leaves (methi)
  • 1 tsp cumin powder
  • salt to taste
  • 1tbsp chopped coriander leaves
  • 1/4th tsp peppercorn
  • 1/4th cup oil / Ghee

Preperation :

  • Sift the flours and salt together in a bowl. Add chopped coriander and fenugreek leaves.
  • Add enough water to knead well and make a smooth paste dough. Divide the dough into 6 equal parts, flatten it with your palms.
  • Carefully roll  a chapati.
  • Heat the griddle and place the chapati on it, pour 1-2 tsp ghee around it, then turn it over and cook the other side. Cook till brown from both sides.
  • Serve hot with homemade butter and Sarsoon Ka saag.
